Bosco (1998) is a Mexican visual artist whose work emerges from a direct, instinctive impulse, in which the hand acts as a mediator between intuition and thought. In a process akin to trance, he develops drawings, paintings, and sculptures that intertwine to reveal a personal, profound reality charged with symbolic resonance. His practice channels an intense energy through archetypes linked to universal mythologies and symbolisms. In a carefully calibrated struggle between light and darkness, Bosco expands his own technical and conceptual boundaries. His work remains firmly rooted in the great tradition of European painting—following in the wake of artists such as Picasso and Paul Klee, exploring multiple perspectives—while also engaging in dialogue with the legacy of Mexican muralism, embodied in a monumental work created for the public university of his hometown. The lines, strokes, and spontaneous forms that shape his visual language reveal an innocence interwoven with exceptional maturity. This tension results in a meaning as intense as the very existential stages he has experienced, consolidating a body of work that oscillates between the primordial and the reflective, the intimate and the collective.
